Felicity Dean

Felicity Dean (born on November 28, 1971) is an English actress who has appeared in many films, television shows, and theatre productions. She is best known for her roles in the films The English Patient (1996), Notting Hill (1999), and Bridget Jones's Diary (2001).

Dean was born in London to a family of actors and writers. She trained at the Guildford School of Acting, graduating in 1992. She began her acting career in 1993, appearing in a number of television series, such as The Bill, Casualty, and The Darling Buds of May. She also appeared in a number of theatre productions, including The Glass Menagerie and The Country Wife.

In 1996, Dean starred in The English Patient, opposite Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche. Her performance earned her a nomination for a BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress. She also starred in Notting Hill with Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts. Dean's performance in the film earned her a nomination for a BAFTA for Best Supporting Actress.

In 2000, Dean appeared in the film Bridget Jones's Diary, opposite Renée Zellweger and Colin Firth. She also appeared in the television series Waking the Dead, which aired from 2000 to 2011. She also had a recurring role in the BBC series Hotel Babylon.

In recent years, Dean has continued to appear in television shows and films. She appeared in the television series The Syndicate, which aired from 2012 to 2016. She also had a recurring role in the television series Vera, which aired from 2011 to 2015.

Dean has won a number of awards for her work in the entertainment industry. She won a BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Notting Hill. She also won an International Emmy Award for her performance in the television movie We'll Take Manhattan.

Dean is a philanthropist and has supported a number of charities, including the NSPCC and the Alzheimer’s Society. She is also an ambassador for the charity Save the Children.

Dean is married to actor Gary Love and they have two children. She currently resides in London.
