Emily Booth is an English actress, television presenter and author who is best known for her roles in horror films. She was born on June 8, 1971 in London, England.

Booth began her career as a dancer and made her film debut in the 1994 comedy movie, The Borrowers, opposite John Goodman and Jim Broadbent. She then moved into television presenting, hosting shows such as The Big Breakfast and Top of the Pops.

In 1997, she made her breakthrough in the horror genre with her role in the film Creep, which was followed by roles in other horror films such as Night of the Demons 3, The Vampire Circus and The Black Room. She also appeared in the television series, Hex, and the horror comedy series, Dead Set.

In the 2000s, Booth continued to appear in horror films such as Severance, The Descent, Eden Lake and Doghouse. She also provided the voice of the character Jessica in the video game, Perception.

In addition to acting, Booth has also written two books. The first book, I Scream, was released in 2006 and is a collection of horror stories. Her second book, The Complete Guide to Horror Movies, was published in 2011.

Despite her success in horror films, Booth has also appeared in comedies and dramas such as The Bill, Casualty and Holby City. She has also provided voice work for various animated films and television shows.

Booth is an active supporter of animal welfare charities and is a patron of the animal rescue organization, Animal Rescue Corps. She is also an ambassador for the charity, The Dog Action Welfare Group.
