Ebed Basurto is a Mexican actor best known for his role as the titular character in the television series, "El Vato". He was born on April 12th, 1980 in Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico.

Basurto began his acting career in 2003, when he got a role in the soap opera "La Madrastra". Though the show was a success, he had his breakout role in 2006 when he starred in the telenovela "Mis Tres Marías". Basurto's performance in the show earned him the Best Actor award at the 2007 TVyNovelas Awards.
