Drag-On is an American rapper, actor and entrepreneur from the Bronx, New York. He is best known for his 2000 hit single “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem” and for his work with DMX and the Ruff Ryders Entertainment label.

Drag-On was born on August 3, 1978 in the Bronx borough of New York City. He grew up in a single-parent household, with his mother working hard to provide for him and his siblings. Although he had a tough upbringing, Drag-On found solace in hip-hop music, which he began to listen to and write his own rhymes.

In 1997, Drag-On released his debut single “Money, Power & Respect” with fellow Ruff Ryders artist DMX. The single was a success and propelled Drag-On to stardom, as he quickly became a major player in the New York hip-hop scene.

In 2000, Drag-On released his debut album Opposite of H2O. The album featured the hit single “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem,” which peaked at #13 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album was certified platinum and earned Drag-On a Grammy Award nomination for Best Rap Album.

After the success of Opposite of H2O, Drag-On released his second album, The Last Dragon, in 2002. The album was similarly successful, spawning the hit singles “Run for Your Life” and “Ryde or Die Bitch.” It also earned Drag-On a second Grammy Award nomination for Best Rap Album.
