David C. Bunners is an American actor best known for his roles in the television series, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and the films Star Trek Beyond and The Purge: Anarchy. He was born on February 11th, 1978 in Los Angeles, California.

David began his career in the entertainment industry when he was cast in a small role in the 2006 independent film “Powerful People”. After that, he went on to appear in a number of television shows such as Bones, Cold Case, CSI: NY, and Grey’s Anatomy. His first big break came in 2009 when he was cast in a recurring role as Kevin, a car thief, in the series Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He was part of the show for four seasons and earned a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series at the Television Critics Association Awards.

In 2014, he landed the role of Sgt. Franklin in the science fiction action movie Star Trek Beyond. The film was a box office success and earned him further recognition. He then went on to star in the sci-fi thriller The Purge: Anarchy, playing the role of an army veteran.
