BIO

Darren Wilson is an award-winning filmmaker and the founder of Wanderlust Productions. He has directed five full-length feature films and is best known for his 2012 documentary, “Furious Love,” which chronicles the romance between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.

Wilson grew up in a small town in Michigan and developed an interest in filmmaking at a young age. At age 13, he began experimenting with his family’s video camera and making home movies. He pursued his love of film as he grew older, eventually attending college in Michigan and graduating with a degree in media arts.

In 2010, Wilson’s first feature-length documentary, “Holy Ghost,” premiered at the San Francisco International Film Festival and won the audience award. The film follows Wilson’s journey of faith and his efforts to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in the contemporary world.

In 2012, Wilson released “Furious Love,” a documentary about the passionate and tumultuous romance between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. The film was praised by critics and was nominated for several awards, including Best Documentary at the San Diego Film Festival.

Since then, Wilson has directed two more feature-length documentaries, “Father of Lights” and “The Father's Heart.” In addition to his work as a filmmaker, Wilson is an advocate for the poor and homeless and has created a series of short films that tell the stories of those living in poverty.

Wilson’s work has been featured in numerous publications, including The New York Times, Variety, and The Huffington Post. He has been nominated for several awards, including a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special.

Wilson is passionate about storytelling and inspiring others with his work. He believes that film can be a powerful tool for raising awareness and creating positive change. He is currently working on a new documentary about the power of prayer and the importance of faith in modern life.
