Catherine Aymerie is a French actress, best known for her roles in films like He Loves Me Not (2004), The Girl from Monaco (2008) and The Returned (2012). Born in Paris on June 8th, 1975, Catherine is the daughter of noted French actor, Jean-Claude Brialy, and his wife, Claudine. She has two brothers, Olivier and Philippe.
Catherine's career began in theatre, where she trained for several years. She made her stage debut in 1992 in the play "Le Bal des Voleurs" by Jean-Claude Carrière. She went on to appear in numerous plays throughout her career, including "L'Enfant et la Rêve" (1994), "Les Petits Drames" (2000), and "L'Ecole des Femmes" (2006).
In 2004, Catherine made her big screen debut in the romantic comedy He Loves Me Not, alongside her father. The film was a box office success and garnered her much praise for her performance. This was followed by The Girl from Monaco (2008), a romantic comedy in which she starred alongside Fabrice Luchini and Roschdy Zem.
In 2012, she starred in the critically acclaimed French drama The Returned, which won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival. She then appeared in the war drama In the Name of My Daughter (2014), which earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the César Awards.
In addition to her work in film, Catherine has also appeared in several television series. She starred in the French drama series "Les Revenants" (2012-2015), and in the mini-series "Les Rivières Pourpres" (2016). She also had a guest role in the American crime drama series "NCIS" (2015).
Catherine is currently in production for the feature film "L'Heure de la Sortie" (2020), which is slated for release in late 2020. She is also set to star in the upcoming French comedy "Un Soupirail" (2021).
