Busty Dusty, born Dorothy Ruth Hoogstraten, is an American actress and model best known for her roles in the films Valley Girl (1983), The Barbarian Brothers (1984) and The Rocketeer (1991).
Dusty was born in Vancouver, Canada on August 5, 1959 and was raised in the suburbs of Los Angeles, California. Growing up, Dusty was involved in many activities including gymnastics, jazz dance, and modeling. It was during her modeling career that she was given the nickname “Busty Dusty” due to her voluptuous figure.
Dusty began her film career in 1983 with a role in the film Valley Girl. She went on to appear in a number of films throughout the 1980s and 1990s, most notably The Barbarian Brothers (1984), The Rocketeer (1991), and The Silencer (1992). She also had guest appearances on television shows such as The Love Boat, The A-Team, and Night Court.
In addition to acting, Dusty had a successful modeling career, appearing in magazines such as Playboy and Penthouse. She was also the spokesperson for the lingerie company Frederick’s of Hollywood and appeared in several of their television commercials.
Dusty was married to actor/director Carl Ferro from 1984 to 1988. Since then, she has kept a low profile. She currently resides in Los Angeles and continues to model on occasion.
