Brian Sumner is a popular English actor who has been in the entertainment industry for over three decades. He is best known for his roles in films like 'The Full Monty' (1997), 'The Constant Gardener' (2005), 'United 93' (2006) and 'Sherlock Holmes' (2009). He has also appeared in television series such as 'Merlin' (2008) and 'Downton Abbey' (2010).

Born in Manchester, England, Sumner developed an early interest in acting. He attended drama classes at school and went on to study theatre at the Central School of Speech and Drama.
