Brenda Matthews is a proud Wiradjuri woman who lives with her husband Mark on Bundjalung Country in Queensland. Since 2012, they have been hosting cultural camps, guiding teenagers to connect with Country and their heritage.
Brenda is a mother, grandmother, poet, writer, speaker, and emerging film director. She made her feature film debut with *The Last Daughter*, a documentary that tells her own story. Alongside the film, she has written her first book, also titled *The Last Daughter*, which she is currently editing with Text Publishing.
Trained by renowned speaking coach Karen Thomas, Brenda shares her experiences and journey through public speaking engagements across the education and corporate sectors.
