Barbara Stollberg-Rilinger is a German actress and author. She was born in 1962 in the town of Bochum. She studied acting at the Max-Reinhardt-Seminar in Vienna, Austria and then at the Schauspielhaus Bochum. She has since become one of the most celebrated and respected actors in Germany.

Stollberg-Rilinger is best known for her roles in the film and television industry. She was part of the ensemble cast of the popular German TV show “Der Alte” (The Old One), which aired from 1977-1984.
