Barbara De Jonghe is a Belgian actress, best known for her roles in TV series such as “The Missing”, “The Team”, and “De Dag”.

Born in Brussels in 1979, Barbara De Jonghe has always had a passion for acting. She trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in Antwerp, Belgium, graduating in 2004. After graduating, she started her career with appearances in short films and theater plays.

In 2008, De Jonghe made her first feature film debut in the Belgian film "The Misfortunates". Her performance in the film earned her a nomination for Best Actress at the European Film Awards.

Since then, De Jonghe has gone on to star in numerous films and television series in Belgium and abroad. In 2011, she was cast in the popular American television series, “The Missing” which was broadcasted on BBC and Starz. She also appeared in the French crime series “The Team” and the Dutch crime series “De Dag”.

In addition to acting, De Jonghe has also directed and written a number of short films and theater plays. In 2017, she wrote and directed the short film “The Butterfly” which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival.

In 2020, De Jonghe was cast in the lead role of the new Belgian television series “The Forgotten”. The series is set to be released in 2021.

De Jonghe is also an active philanthropist and humanitarian. She is the founder of the NGO “Women for Women” which provides resources and support to women in developing countries.

Throughout her career, De Jonghe has won numerous awards for her performances in films and television. She is an acclaimed actress in Belgium and her work has earned her a place in the hearts of many fans around the world.
