BIO

Anna Schwaber is a renowned film and television director, best known for her work on the hit television series, “The Office” and “30 Rock.” She was born in Los Angeles, California in 1979 and attended New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she graduated with a BFA in Film and Television Production in 2001.

After graduating, Schwaber began her career in television with a job at NBC, where she worked on the shows “Friends” and “Will & Grace.” She quickly rose through the ranks to become a full-time director and was eventually given the chance to direct her own episodes. In 2008, Schwaber directed her first episode of “The Office,” which became one of the series’ most beloved episodes.

Since then, Schwaber has directed numerous episodes of “The Office” and “30 Rock,” as well as other shows such as “Parks and Recreation,” “Community,” “Modern Family,” “New Girl,” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” She has also directed a number of feature films, including “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone” and “The Skeleton Twins.” In addition to her work as a director, Schwaber has also served as a producer on television shows such as “Girls,” “Looking,” and “The Comeback.”

Throughout her career, Schwaber has been recognized for her work, receiving numerous awards including two Emmy nominations and two Directors Guild of America awards. She is also a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and has been a mentor for the organization’s “Directors Initiative” program.
