Angus Douglas-Hamilton (born in 1976) is an English actor and filmmaker known for his roles in films such as The Theory of Everything, The Revenant, and The Danish Girl. Born in London, Angus was raised in Scotland, where he attended the prestigious St. Andrews University. After graduating, he began to pursue a career in acting and made his debut in the television series Monarch of the Glen.

Angus’s first major role was in the 2006 film The Theory of Everything, starring Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones. Angus played the role of Robert, a student at Cambridge University and a close friend of Stephen Hawking. The film was a critical and commercial success, earning Angus numerous awards and nominations.

In 2010, Angus starred in the critically-acclaimed The Revenant, directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu. In the film, Angus played the role of Hugh Glass, a young trapper and hunter who is betrayed and left for dead by his companions. His performance in the film earned him an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

In 2014, Angus starred in the historical drama The Danish Girl, directed by Tom Hooper. In the film, Angus played the role of Einar Wegener, a transgender woman who was the first person to undergo gender reassignment surgery. His performance in the film earned him a nomination for the British Independent Film Award for Best Supporting Actor.

In addition to his acting career, Angus has also written and directed several short films and documentaries. He is currently working on a feature film which he hopes to release in the near future.
