Angela Mutua is a Kenyan actress and film director. She is best known for her roles in the films "Nairobi Half Life" and "Something Necessary". Mutua began her career in theater before transitioning to film in 2011. She has since become one of the most prominent figures in Kenyan film.

Mutua was born in Nairobi, Kenya in 1988. She grew up in a small village and attended school until her parents could no longer afford the fees. She found work as a cleaner and eventually started her own theater company, which she ran for three years.
