André Kaczmarczyk is an actor, director, and writer best known for his work in the German film and television industry. He was born in Berlin, Germany in 1976. After graduating from the Academy for Film and Television in Potsdam, Kaczmarczyk began his acting career in the early 2000s, appearing in a number of productions in both Germany and abroad.

Kaczmarczyk’s breakout role came in 2003, when he starred as the titular character in the German-language drama, Der Junge im gestreiften Pyjama (The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas). The film was a critical and commercial success, and earned Kaczmarczyk international recognition. He followed this success with other roles in German films, including the 2004 drama Ich gehöre ihm (I Belong to Him), the 2005 comedy Kebab Connection, and the 2006 crime drama Die Flucht (The Escape).

In 2007, Kaczmarczyk ventured into television, appearing in the German police procedural, Tatort. He went on to appear in a number of other television series, including the popular crime drama, Polizeiruf 110, and the comedy-drama, Der Lehrer. He also had a recurring role in the popular German series, Unter Uns, which ran from 2011 to 2016.

In addition to his acting career, Kaczmarczyk has directed several short films, including the acclaimed drama, Das Lied des Lebens (The Song of Life). He also wrote and directed the 2016 romantic comedy, Mein Vater und ich (My Father and I), which earned him the Best Director Award at the German Film Awards.

Kaczmarczyk is a versatile actor, equally at home in comedies, dramas, and thrillers. With his unique combination of talent and charm, Kaczmarczyk has become one of the most respected and sought-after actors in the German film and television industry.
