Alison Anthony is an American actress best known for her roles in television and film. She was born in Los Angeles, California in 1978. She began her career in the late 90s, appearing in a number of television shows including Murphy Brown, Law & Order, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She has also had roles in films such as The Cell, The Core, and The Butterfly Effect.

Alison began her career as a stage actress, appearing in a number of regional plays and musicals. She made her Broadway debut in the 2002 revival of “Follies” and went on to appear in the 2003 revival of “Noises Off.” She has also appeared on the London stage, performing in the play “After the Rain” at the National Theatre in 2004.

Her big break came in 2005 when she was cast as Dr. Elizabeth Weir in the science fiction television series Stargate Atlantis. She went on to star in the show for five seasons, earning a Saturn Award nomination for Best Actress on Television in 2007. She also starred in the spin-off movie Stargate: The Ark of Truth.
