Zoya Laktionova is an award-winning film director, writer, and producer from Moscow, Russia. She is best known for her work on the hit Russian films "The Edge" (2019) and "The President's Daughter" (2016).

From an early age, Zoya was passionate about film. She studied film and television production at the Russian State Institute of Cinematography, where she graduated with honors. After graduation, Zoya began her career as a production assistant and scriptwriter on several films.

In 2009, Zoya made her directorial debut with the short film "The Runner", which was well-received and earned her an award at the Moscow International Film Festival. This success opened the door to more opportunities, and in 2014 she wrote and directed the feature film "The President's Daughter". The film was a box office success and was praised for its strong female protagonist.

In 2016, Zoya wrote and directed the critically-acclaimed drama "The Edge", which earned her numerous awards, including Best Director at the Moscow International Film Festival. The film was also nominated for several other awards, including Best Picture at the Moscow International Film Festival.
