Zhou Hao is a Chinese film director, screenwriter, and producer. He was born in 1972 in Chongqing, China. He graduated from the Beijing Film Academy in 1995.

At the beginning of his career, Zhou Hao worked as an assistant director and screenwriter for several films. In 2002, he wrote and directed his first feature film, "The Park" which was a critical success and gained him international recognition. This was followed by other critically acclaimed films such as "The Scenery" (2005) and "The Old Boat" (2008).

In 2009, Zhou Hao directed his most successful film to date, "The Message". The film was a huge commercial success in China and earned him numerous awards and critical acclaim. He was awarded Best Director at the Golden Horse Awards, Best New Director at the Shanghai International Film Festival, and the Silver Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival.

In 2011, Zhou Hao wrote and directed his first English-language film, "Lost in Bangkok". The film was well-received by audiences and critics alike. It was selected to compete in the Tribeca Film Festival and won several awards.

Zhou Hao's most recent work includes the romantic comedy "Just One Smile Is Very Alluring" (2016). The film was a huge success in China and was selected to compete in the Cannes Film Festival.
