Wu Haohao (born 1982) is a Chinese film director and producer who has become one of the most influential figures in the contemporary Chinese film industry. He is best known for his award-winning films such as the romantic-comedy-drama "Love is Not Blind" (2011), the crime drama "The Deadly Reclaim" (2013), and the biopic "The Founding of an Army" (2017).

Born in Beijing, Wu Haohao developed an interest in film from a young age. He was inspired by the works of renowned Chinese directors like Zhang Yimou and Chen Kaige. After graduating from the Beijing Film Academy, Wu began his career as a script supervisor, working with directors such as Zhang and Chen.

In 2011, Wu made his directorial debut with the romantic-comedy-drama "Love is Not Blind". The film was a huge success in China and won numerous awards, including the Golden Rooster Award for Best Director and Best Film. Following the success of his debut, Wu directed the crime drama "The Deadly Reclaim" in 2013. The film was a critical and commercial success, earning Wu a nomination for Best Director at the Golden Horse Awards.

In 2016, Wu directed the biopic "The Founding of an Army", which tells the story of the formation of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. The film was a huge success, becoming one of the highest-grossing Chinese films of all time. It also won Wu the Best Director award at the Golden Rooster Awards.
