Tracy Atkinson is an award-winning film director, producer, and writer. Having grown up in the small town of Independence, Kansas, Tracy developed a passion for film and storytelling from an early age. She attended Kansas State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Television.

Atkinson has directed several feature films, including the critically acclaimed drama “Unspoken”, which won multiple awards. The film follows a young woman’s journey into adulthood as she struggles to come to terms with her traumatic past. “Unspoken” was praised for its powerful visual storytelling and raw, emotional performances. Atkinson has also directed several other feature films, including the comedy “The Dating Game” and the horror “The House on the Hill”.

In addition to film directing, Tracy has worked in television, directing episodes of popular series such as “Judging Amy”, “ER”, and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”. She has also directed several made-for-TV movies, such as “The Long Goodbye” and “A Time for Miracles”.

Atkinson is a staunch advocate for female filmmakers, and has spoken at numerous film festivals and industry events about the importance of creating a more inclusive filmmaking landscape. She is a founding member of the Women’s Media Group, an organization dedicated to the advancement of women in the film and television industry.

Tracy is an active member of the Directors Guild of America, and has served on its National Board of Directors. She has also served as a mentor for the Sundance Institute’s Director’s Lab and the Women in Film Mentorship Program.
