Tora Mårtens is a Swedish director and a graduate of the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts. She is known for her unique style of filmmaking which focuses on the human experience and the exploration of identity.

Tora was born in Stockholm in 1983 and raised in Gothenburg. She began her career in film and television in 2006, directing several short films for Swedish television such as "The Little Bee" and "The Man Who Wanted to Fly".

In 2011, Tora made her feature film debut with "The Kites", a critically acclaimed drama about a young woman from a small Swedish town struggling to find her place in the world. The film won numerous awards at film festivals around the world, including Best Nordic Film at the Gothenburg International Film Festival.

Tora has since directed several feature films, including "The Summer We Met" and "The Sleepers". Her most recent project is the TV series "High Seas", a mystery drama set in the 1940s about two sisters trying to solve a series of mysterious disappearances at sea. The series has been critically acclaimed, earning Tora a nomination for Best Director at the International Emmy Awards.

Tora's films are known for their poetic visual style and powerful storytelling. She often draws on her Scandinavian roots to create films that explore the human condition in all its complexity.
