Tim Wardle is an award-winning director known for his compelling and thought-provoking documentaries that explore timely and important topics. He has directed several documentaries including the critically acclaimed Three Identical Strangers, One Killer Punch, and The Great Hack.

Tim was born and raised in England, and he studied film and television production at the University of Westminster. After graduating, he worked as a production assistant for the BBC and then went on to work as a freelance documentary director and producer.

He has been behind the camera for a variety of documentaries, including Channel 4's The Secret Life of the Manic Depressive and BBC's Afghanistan: The Great Game. He also worked on the BBC's award-winning series The Power of Nightmares and the Emmy Award-nominated The Imposter.

In 2018, Tim directed the documentary Three Identical Strangers which tells the story of three identical triplets who were separated at birth and adopted by three different families in different parts of the world. The film was nominated for a BAFTA and won the SXSW Grand Jury Prize for Documentary Feature.

In 2019, Tim released the documentary One Killer Punch which tells the story of a young man who accidentally killed another in a single punch. The film was nominated for the Grierson Award and the British Independent Film Award for Best Documentary.

In 2020, Tim released the documentary The Great Hack which examines the data breach of millions of people's personal information and how it was used to manipulate the outcomes of the 2016 US presidential election. The film was nominated for a Grierson Award and a BAFTA.
