BIO

Tetsuya Nomura is a Japanese video game artist, designer, director, and producer. He is best known for his work on the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts series. Born on October 8, 1970, in Kōchi, Japan, he began his career in 1993 working for Square, now known as Square Enix.

Nomura began his career as a designer for Square's Final Fantasy VI video game. Following this, he worked on the character designs of Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy VIII, and Final Fantasy X. His work on the Final Fantasy series has been vastly influential in the world of video game design. He also designed characters and settings for many other Square games, such as Parasite Eve and The Bouncer.

In 2002, Nomura began working on the Kingdom Hearts series. He was responsible for the design of the characters, scenarios, and the story. The series has become one of Square Enix's most popular titles, and has spawned several sequels and merchandise.
