BIO

Teddy Goitom is a Swedish film director and producer. He was born in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1978. He studied at the National Film School of Denmark, and graduated in 2003.

Goitom’s first feature film, “Beats of No Nation” was released in 2009. The movie tells the story of a young African boy whose family and village are destroyed by a civil war, leaving him alone and without protection. The film was a critical success, earning Goitom a nomination for the prestigious Ecumenical Award at the 2009 Berlin Film Festival.

Goitom has also directed two short films, “Caroline” (2005) and “The Kite” (2008). Both films have been screened at various film festivals around the world, and “The Kite” was awarded Best Short Film at the 2008 Berlinale.

Goitom is a co-founder of the production company “Gemini Film”, and has produced several feature films and documentaries, including “The Circle” (2010) and “The Price of Freedom” (2012).

Goitom is currently working on a new project, a feature film titled “The House That Jack Built”, which is set to be released in 2015. The film is a psychological thriller set in a small Swedish town.

Goitom has continued to be successful in the film industry, and has been nominated for numerous awards, including the Swedish Film Institute’s “Best Film” prize. He is currently working on a number of projects, both in Sweden and abroad.

Goitom’s work has been praised for its ability to tell compelling stories without being overly sentimental and focusing on the human experience. He is a director to watch, and his work is sure to continue to entertain and inspire.
