BIO

Tea Vidović Dalipi is a sociologist, researcher of migrations and cultural identities, and a debut documentary director. She was born in Zagreb, where she first shaped her identity as a daughter and older sister, and later as a wife and mother. She studied at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb and in Erfurt, Germany, and completed Peace Studies in Zagreb. She has maintained a long and active collaboration with the Centre for Peace Studies, developing programmes related to asylum seeking, migration, and human rights.

An engaged member of civil society in Croatia, she collaborates with numerous individuals, organisations, and initiatives focused on human rights protection and community based work. Her practice is rooted in interdisciplinarity and multiple perspectives, combining research methods with collaborative processes.

She entered the world of documentary film after enrolling in Restart’s School of Documentary Film, where she developed a strong interest in using film as a tool to explore migration, identity, and lived experience. This commitment led to the creation of Snajka Diary of Expectations, an intimate documentary filmed over a ten year period.
