BIO

Tatyana Detig is an award-winning Russian film director, producer, screenwriter, and editor. She is best known for her feature films, documentaries, and short films. Her work has been showcased at international film festivals such as Cannes, Berlin, and Moscow, as well as various other festivals around the world.

Tatyana was born in Leningrad, Russia in 1972. She graduated from the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in Moscow in 1998 with a B.A. in Film Production. She began her career as a production assistant and script editor before moving on to directing.

Tatyana’s first feature film, “The Unborn” (2003), was a psychological thriller that depicted the psychological traumas of the Soviet Union. The film earned her the Best Picture Award at the Moscow International Film Festival. She has since made several other feature films, including “The Return” (2006), “The Edge of Heaven” (2007), and “The Winter” (2009). Her films often explore themes of love, loss, and redemption.

In addition to her feature films, Tatyana has made several documentaries, including “The Memory Box” (2010), “The Labyrinth” (2011), and “The Road to Nowhere” (2012). These documentaries focus on the lives of people affected by the dissolution of the Soviet Union.

Tatyana has also written and directed several short films, such as “The Perfect Day” (2014), “The Year of the Horse” (2015), and “A Woman of No Importance” (2016). These shorts often focus on women’s issues and the struggle for autonomy in modern Russia.

Tatyana Detig’s work has been widely praised for its psychological depth and its exploration of themes of identity and love. Her films have been screened at major international film festivals and have won numerous awards.
