Suzannah Wander is an award-winning writer, director, and producer based in Los Angeles, CA. She has created content for networks such as HBO, Showtime, MTV, Comedy Central, and IFC. Her films have screened at festivals around the world, including Cannes, Sundance, SXSW, and Tribeca.

Wander was born in New York City and raised in the Hudson Valley. She was exposed to the arts at an early age, attending theater camps and taking classes in writing and improvisation. She graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in Film Studies. After college, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film.

Wander’s first feature film, Low Tide, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2016. The movie was praised by critics for its poignant story and beautiful cinematography. It was nominated for several awards, including “Best First Feature” at the Gotham Awards.

In 2019, she released her second feature film, The Light of the Moon. The movie follows a woman who is struggling to recover after a sexual assault. It stars Stephanie Beatriz and was praised for its honest depiction of trauma and recovery. It won Best Narrative Feature at the SXSW Film Festival and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award.
