Susann Wentzlaff is an award-winning German film director, producer, and editor. She has directed feature films, documentaries, and short films.

Wentzlaff was born in Darmstadt, Germany in 1970. She began her career in the film industry in the early 1990s when she studied film at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz. After graduating, she worked as a freelance editor for various television and film productions.

In 1999, she directed her first feature film, Die Romantik der Räuber (The Romance of the Robbers). The film was a success in Germany and won several awards, including the Bavarian Film Prize for Best Director.

In 2004, Wentzlaff released her second feature film, Die Farbe der Kälte (The Color of Cold). The film was a critical success and won the German Film Critics' Award for Best Film. It was also nominated for the European Film Academy Award for Best Film.

In 2009, Wentzlaff directed her third feature film, Auf der Suche nach Liebe (In Search of Love). The film was a critical success and won several awards, including the German Film Critics' Award for Best Film.

In 2013, Wentzlaff released her fourth feature film, Das Leben ist ein Wunschkonzert (Life is a Wish Concert). The film was a critical success and won several awards, including the German Film Critics' Award for Best Film.

In 2018, Wentzlaff released her fifth feature film, Die größte Sache der Welt (The Greatest Thing in the World). The film was a critical success and won several awards, including the German Film Critics' Award for Best Film.

Wentzlaff has also directed several documentaries, including the award-winning Der unsichtbare Raum (The Invisible Space) in 2005 and Der Nachtfalter (The Moth) in 2009. She has also directed several short films, including the award-winning Der Tag des Jägers (The Hunter's Day) in 2011 and Die Kälte des Frühlings (The Cold of Spring) in 2014.

Wentzlaff has been a jury member for numerous film festivals, including the Berlin International Film Festival and the International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam. She has also been a mentor for young filmmakers at the Berlinale Talent Campus.
