BIO

Steve Patry is a veteran film director, screenwriter, and producer from California. He has been in the industry since the mid-1980s and has been responsible for some of the most iconic films of the last four decades.

He began his career as an assistant director on the film “The Goonies” in 1985. He then went on to work as a production assistant and assistant director on projects such as “The Lost Boys” and “Fletch Lives”. After this, Steve made the jump to working as a director and wrote and directed his first feature film, “Buried Alive” in 1989.

Since then, Steve has gone on to direct some of the most popular films of the last few decades. His credits include hits such as “Rookie of the Year”, “The Sandlot”, “The Replacements”, and “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story”. He has also written and directed several other films such as “Big Fat Liar”, “My Boss’s Daughter”, “The Animal”, and “The Master of Disguise”.

In addition to his film work, Steve has also directed several television series and made-for-TV movies. These include shows such as “The Nanny”, “3rd Rock from the Sun”, “Clueless”, “Malcolm in the Middle”, and “Grounded for Life”.

Steve has been nominated for several awards over the years, including an Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for his work on “Malcolm in the Middle”. He has also been nominated for a Writers Guild of America Award for Best Original Screenplay for his work on “Big Fat Liar”.
