BIO

Stephen L. Forman is a renowned film director, producer, and screenwriter who has written and directed a number of award-winning films, including "The Pursuit of Happyness" (2006), "The Help" (2011), and "Hidden Figures" (2016).

Forman was born in Brooklyn, New York, and was raised in a traditional Jewish family. He attended Syracuse University, where he majored in theater, and graduated in 1980. After college, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film.

Forman found his first success as a screenwriter, working on the scripts for "The Pursuit of Happyness" and "The Help." He then went on to direct both films, and both were critically acclaimed and box office hits.

In 2016, he released his third feature film, "Hidden Figures," which tells the true story of three African-American women who worked at NASA in the 1960s. The film was a huge success, earning three Oscar nominations and winning two Golden Globe Awards.

In addition to his feature films, Forman has also directed a number of television movies, including "The Lost Valentine" (2011) and "The Romantics" (2015). He has also directed episodes of popular television series such as "ER" (1995–2003) and "Grey's Anatomy" (2005–present).
