Stefano Galli



Stefano Galli is an Italian director, cinematographer, and editor who has been active in the film industry since the late 1990s. He has worked on a variety of feature films, television programs, and documentaries.

Galli was born in Naples, Italy in 1974. He grew up in Milan, where he attended the Italian Institute of Technology. After graduating with a degree in Media Arts and Technology, he went on to study at the University of the Arts in London.

Galli began his career in 1998, directing music videos for a variety of artists. He then went on to direct his first feature film, “The Country of My Dreams” (2002). This was followed by “The Game of Love” (2005), which earned him a nomination for the Nastro d’Argento Award for Best Cinematography.

In 2007, Galli directed the television series “The Roommate” and the feature film “The Last Summer” (2008). Both projects were critically acclaimed and earned him several awards, including Best Director at the Milan Film Festival and the Best Director Award at the Rome International Film Festival.

In 2010, Galli directed the feature film “Night of the Wolf” and the documentary “The Dreamers” (2012). Both were well-received, and the latter earned him an Italian National Syndicate of Film Journalists award for Best Documentary.

Throughout his career, Galli has worked with some of the biggest names in the film industry, including directors such as Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, and Francis Ford Coppola. He has also collaborated with acclaimed actors such as Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Al Pacino.

Galli is currently based in Rome, Italy, where he continues to work on a variety of projects. He is an active member of the Italian film industry, and has served as a judge and jury member for several film festivals. He is also a member of the Italian Cinematographers Guild.
