Stefan Pohl is a German film director, cinematographer, and editor who has worked in the industry for more than twenty years. His career began in television, where he worked as a production assistant for the German public broadcaster ZDF. In 1995, he went on to become an editor for the network's documentary series "Zeit, die uns bewegt".

In 2000, Pohl began directing commercials, music videos, and documentaries. His breakthrough feature film, “Hinter den Kulissen” (Behind the Scenes), was released in 2004. The film won several awards, including the German Film Award, and was praised for its innovative use of camera angles and its attention to detail.

In addition to his work in film and television, Pohl has done a significant amount of work in other media, such as creating interactive multimedia installations for the German football team Borussia Dortmund, and directing a series of interactive online tutorials for the German language learning platform “Lingua TV”.
