Shalini Harshwal is an Indian director, producer, and screenwriter. She is best known for her innovative work in the world of cinema.

Harshwal was born in Assam and moved to Delhi in her teens. She started her career in the film industry as a documentary filmmaker and editor. Her first feature film, ‘Aamra’, was released in 2006. The film was a critical success and won numerous awards at various film festivals.

After ‘Aamra’, Harshwal went on to direct several other critically acclaimed films, including ‘Kya Kool Hai Hum’ (2008), ‘Khoobsurat’ (2009), and ‘My Name Is Khan’ (2010). She also co-directed ‘Chillar Party’ (2011), which won the National Award for Best Children’s Film.
