Sergei Lukyanchenko is a documentary filmmaker and graduate of Alexander Sokurov's directing workshop at the Saint Petersburg State Institute of Film and Television, completing his studies in 2022. Prior to his career in filmmaking, he trained as a paramedic, grounding his perspective in direct human experience and care under pressure. Co-directing alongside Vladimir Koptsev, Lukyanchenko brings a considered and humanistic sensibility to Duality, a film that follows two Orthodox priests confronting the moral contradictions of war and religious identity. The film was produced under the independent banner of Blue Colour Production Group and shot across Thailand, Armenia, and Russia.
