Scott Cervine is an American director, writer, and producer. He is best known for his work on the television series Malcolm in the Middle, The Office, and Arrested Development.
Cervine was born in Los Angeles and grew up in the San Fernando Valley. He attended the University of Southern California, where he majored in theater and film. After graduating, he worked as a production assistant on the television series The X-Files and NYPD Blue, before moving to directing.
Cervine made his directorial debut in 2001 with the independent feature film, The Rules of Attraction. The film was a critical success and earned Cervine a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature.
Cervine has since gone on to direct a number of television series, including Malcolm in the Middle, The Office, and Arrested Development. He has also directed episodes of the hit drama House, The Big Bang Theory, and Parks and Recreation.
