Scott Allen is an American film and television director. He was born in Los Angeles, California, in 1969. He began his career as an assistant director on the television series, “High School Reunion” in 1995. After that, he worked on a number of other television series, including “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” and “Friends.”

He moved into feature film directing in 1997, with the comedy “Can’t Hardly Wait.” He followed this up with the critical and commercial success, “The Wedding Singer” in 1998. This film, starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, was a box office hit and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture.

In 2000, Allen directed the romantic comedy “What Women Want,” starring Mel Gibson and Helen Hunt. This film was a commercial success and was nominated for several awards, including a Golden Globe. In 2002, Allen directed the comedy “My Boss’s Daughter,” starring Ashton Kutcher and Tara Reid.

Allen’s most recent film was the romantic comedy “Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!” in 2004. This film was a moderate success and was nominated for a Teen Choice Award. He has also directed a number of television episodes, including those of “Cougar Town” and “Desperate Housewives.”
