Sara Markovic is an award-winning director and media executive from Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is best known for her feature films and documentary series, which have been screened at international film festivals and broadcast on television around the world.
Markovic began her career as an editor and graphic designer in the early 2000s, crafting creative projects for commercial and corporate clients. In 2008, she made her directorial debut with the feature film “The Bet”. The film was an international success, screening at the Sarajevo Film Festival and winning the award for Best Screenplay from the International Federation of Film Critics.
Since then, Markovic has gone on to direct a number of acclaimed films and documentaries. She has made several short films, including “The Idea”, which won the Sarajevo Short Film Festival, and the documentary “Voices of Srebrenica”, which focused on the Bosnian War.
