BIO

Ryen McPherson is an award-winning filmmaker and television director who has directed some of the most critically acclaimed films and television series of the last decade. Born in Vancouver, Canada, in 1981, Ryen graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Film. After graduating, Ryen quickly made a name for himself in the Canadian film industry, directing several low-budget independent films and television shows.

In 2006, Ryen made his feature film debut with the horror flick, “The Hostage”, which was a surprise hit at the box office and won him several awards. His next project was the critically acclaimed drama “Troubled Waters” which earned him a Genie Award for Best Director and was nominated for several other awards.

After this success, Ryen was offered the chance to direct a major studio film, “The Darkest Hour”, which was released to critical acclaim in 2011. The film was well-received by both critics and audiences alike and grossed over $100 million at the box office.

Ryen’s next project was the hit television series “The Walking Dead”, which he directed for four seasons. His work on the show earned him several Emmy nominations and a Directors Guild of America Award. He also directed episodes of the popular shows “Game of Thrones” and “Breaking Bad”.

In recent years, Ryen has continued to work on a variety of projects, including the movie “The Last Witch Hunter” and the television series “Westworld”. He is currently in pre-production for his next feature film, “The Night Comes For Us”, which is set to be released in 2018.
