Robert Guenette is a renowned director, producer, and screenwriter who has been in the film industry for over three decades. He is best known for his work on popular films such as The Passion of the Christ, The Patriot, and The Terminal.

Born in 1962 in Los Angeles, California, Robert grew up in an artistic family. His father was a cameraman, and his mother was a painter. As a young boy, Robert was heavily influenced by his parents’ creative pursuits, and he quickly developed an interest in filmmaking. The success of The Passion of the Christ put Robert on the map, and he went on to direct a number of successful films in the ensuing years, including The Patriot (2000), The Terminal (2004), and The Great Debaters (2007). In addition to his directing work, Robert has also produced several films, including the critically acclaimed documentary Facing the Giants (2006).

Robert has received numerous accolades for his work, including an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie, or Special for the 1998 television movie The Long Way Home. He has also been recognized by the Directors Guild of America, receiving the prestigious Robert B. Aldrich Award for his commitment to the craft.

Robert continues to direct and produce films, with his most recent work being the action-thriller The Finest Hours (2016). He is currently in pre-production on his next feature, a biopic about the life of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy, which is slated for release in 2018.
