BIO

Robert Guenette is a renowned director, producer, and screenwriter who has been in the film industry for over three decades. He is best known for his work on popular films such as The Passion of the Christ, The Patriot, and The Terminal.

Born in 1962 in Los Angeles, California, Robert grew up in an artistic family. His father was a cameraman, and his mother was a painter. As a young boy, Robert was heavily influenced by his parents’ creative pursuits, and he quickly developed an interest in filmmaking. He was always tinkering with his family’s camera, experimenting with different angles and techniques.

Robert attended the University of Southern California, where he earned a degree in film and television production. After graduation, he worked as an assistant director for several independent films before eventually landing his first directing job in 1994. His debut feature film, The Passion of the Christ, was a smash hit, grossing over $611 million at the box office and earning Academy Award nominations for Best Cinematography and Best Original Score.

The success of The Passion of the Christ put Robert on the map, and he went on to direct a number of successful films in the ensuing years, including The Patriot (2000), The Terminal (2004), and The Great Debaters (2007). In addition to his directing work, Robert has also produced several films, including the critically acclaimed documentary Facing the Giants (2006).

Robert has received numerous accolades for his work, including an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie, or Special for the 1998 television movie The Long Way Home.
