Richard Bradley is a director, producer and writer who has worked on a variety of television and film projects over the course of his career. He is best known for his work on the critically acclaimed HBO series The Wire, which he directed four episodes of. He has also directed episodes of the likes of ER, The Shield, The West Wing, House, and True Blood, among others.

A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Richard Bradley studied film at San Francisco State University and the American Film Institute. After graduating, he began working as an assistant director in television, and eventually moved up to become a director. His first major project was the television movie The Face on the Milk Carton, which he co-wrote and directed.

In 2001, Bradley was hired to direct four episodes of The Wire, which was just beginning its first season. He was praised for his work on the series, and eventually went on to direct episodes of other acclaimed television series, such as Six Feet Under, Carnivale, and Mad Men. He also directed episodes of the TV drama House, as well as the pilot for the series True Blood.

In addition to his work in television, Bradley has also had a successful film career. His film credits include directing the films The Believer and Brooklyn's Finest. He also wrote and directed the film American Gun, which was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award.
