Rashid Babiker is a Sudanese film director and producer. He was born in the city of Omdurman, Sudan, in 1982. He is best known for his critically acclaimed films, including “The Journey”, “The Curse”, and “The Honey”.

Rashid studied film and media at the university in Khartoum, Sudan, and also attended film school in New York. He has worked as a freelance cameraman and editor for television stations in Sudan, and he has also worked as a production assistant on various films.

Rashid's debut feature film, The Journey, was released in 2005. It tells the story of a young Sudanese family's journey from their home in Sudan to the United States. The film was critically acclaimed and won several awards, including the Grand Jury Prize at the African Film Festival in Los Angeles.

Rashid's second feature film, The Curse, was released in 2008. It tells the story of two brothers living in Sudan who are struggling to make ends meet. The film won several awards, including the Best Feature Film Award at the African Film Festival in Los Angeles.

Rashid's third feature film, The Honey, was released in 2011. It tells the story of a young woman who is trying to find her place in the world. The film won several awards, including the Best Feature Film Award at the African Film Festival in Los Angeles.

Rashid has also produced several short films, including “The Journey of the Bees”, “The Life of the Bees”, and “The Secret of the Bees”. He is currently working on his fourth feature film, “The Beast”, which is expected to be released in 2020.
