Rachel Tracy (born October 2, 1981) is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. She is best known for her work on the award-winning films, "The Place Beyond the Pines" (2012) and "The Spectacular Now" (2013).

Tracy was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She attended UCLA and graduated with a degree in film and television production. Her first job was as a production assistant on the MTV show, "The Real World".

Tracy's first feature film was "The Place Beyond the Pines" (2012), which won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. The film starred Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper and Eva Mendes and was praised by critics for its powerful performances and compelling story.

Tracy's second feature film was "The Spectacular Now" (2013), starring Miles Teller and Shailene Woodley. The film was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and won the Special Jury Prize for Acting.

In addition to her film work, Tracy has directed several music videos for artists such as The Black Keys, The Killers, and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs. She also directed the HBO series, "Looking", which was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards.

Tracy is currently working on her third feature film, "The King's Daughter". The film is based on the life of Catherine the Great and will star Saoirse Ronan and Nicholas Hoult.
