BIO

Philly de Lacey is a highly acclaimed director, producer, writer and actor. He has been working in the entertainment industry for over 25 years. He is best known for his work in television, film and theatre.

Born in London, England, Philly de Lacey began studying drama at the age of 12. He attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where he was trained in all aspects of theatre, film and television.

After graduating from RADA in 1994, Philly went on to work in a variety of projects. He began his career as an assistant director for the Channel 4 series, The Word, and then worked on a variety of other television projects.

In 1998, he wrote and directed his first feature film, "The Wreckage". It was an independent production and it was well received by critics. Philly then went on to direct a number of successful films, including "The Killing of John Lennon" (2003), "The Great Escape" (2004), and "The Jungle Book" (2008).

In addition to his work in film, Philly has also directed a number of television series, including "The Tudors" (2005-2008), "The Riches" (2007-2008), and "The Borgias" (2011-2013). He has also directed a number of plays, including "Hamlet" (2002), "The Tempest" (2004), and "Macbeth" (2007).

Philly de Lacey has been recognized for his work with numerous awards. In 2004, he was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Film for "The Great Escape". He has also received the Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series for "The Tudors" in 2008.
