Miri Laufer is an Israeli filmmaker and television director. She is best known for her work on the television series Be Tipul, The Greenhouse, and When Heroes Fly.
Laufer was born and raised in Israel, and attended the Beit Zvi School for the Performing Arts. She then went on to receive her degree in directing from the Sam Spiegel Film & Television School in Jerusalem.
Laufer began her career directing documentaries, music videos, and commercials. In 2004, she directed her first feature film, The Bubble, which received critical acclaim. The Bubble was a romantic comedy set in Tel Aviv, and was nominated for the prestigious Ophir Award for Best Picture.
In 2008, Laufer directed the television series Be Tipul, which was a huge success and earned her widespread recognition. The show was a psychological drama about a therapist who helps his clients with their personal issues. Laufer went on to direct two more seasons of the show, and it won the Israeli Television Academy Award for Best Drama Series.
Laufer went on to direct several other television series, including The Greenhouse, which aired on the Israeli channel HOT; When Heroes Fly, which was also a huge success; and Kvodo, which aired on Israel’s Channel 10. She has also directed several episodes of the popular Israeli drama series Fauda. Her work has been recognized with several awards, including the Prime Minister’s Prize for Creativity in Film and Television.
Laufer continues to direct television and film projects, and is highly regarded for her unique vision and skillful direction. She has made a significant contribution to the Israeli film and television industry, and her work has been praised by critics and audiences alike.
