Seán Ó Cualáin is an Irish director and screenwriter. He is best known for his work on the critically acclaimed television series An Klondike, which he co-wrote and directed.
Born in Dublin, Ó Cualáin first developed an interest in filmmaking at a young age, watching films with his family and friends. He studied film and media studies at University College Dublin, and then went on to complete a Masters in Screenwriting at the National Film School of Ireland.
After graduating, Ó Cualáin worked as a freelance director and screenwriter, directing short films such as The Bird in the Window and The Graveyard, as well as television episodes for popular series such as Love/Hate and Fair City.
