Pauline Beugnies is an award-winning director and producer based in Belgium. She is best known for her feature film, “The First Girl”, which won the awards for Best Director and Best Film at the Brussels International Film Festival in 2011.

Beugnies began her career in the film industry as an editor and assistant editor on several projects, including the feature film “The Bone Collector”. After developing her skills in the editing room, Beugnies began directing short films, which were well-received at film festivals throughout Europe.

In 2011, Beugnies released her first feature film, “The First Girl”. The film follows a young girl, Tessa, who is the first in her family to go to university. The film explores themes of education, family dynamics, and the search for identity.
