Born in London in 1974, Davis grew up in a creative home surrounded by books, music, art and film. As a child, he was always interested in movies, particularly science fiction, horror and fantasy. He wrote his first script at the age of 11 and soon became fascinated with the visual aspects of filmmaking. After university, Davis worked as an assistant director on a number of television projects, including the crime drama “The Bill” (1999-2003). He then decided to pursue a career as a director, working on a range of productions including music videos, commercials and short films.

In 2008, Davis was chosen to direct the first series of “The Inbetweeners”, a sitcom about four teenage boys navigating the challenges of adolescence. The show was an immediate hit, quickly becoming one of the most popular shows on British television. Davis went on to direct all three series of the show, as well as the feature film “The Inbetweeners Movie” (2011).

Since then, Davis has gone on to direct a number of other television shows, including “Fresh Meat”, “Misfits” and “Sherlock”. He has also directed two feature films: “The Great Ghost Rescue” (2011) and “The Inbetweeners 2” (2014).

Davis has won several awards for his work, including a BAFTA in 2009 for Best Comedy Programme for “The Inbetweeners”. His work has been praised for its sharp wit, energetic visual style and ability to capture the spirit of youth.
