Oleksiy Radynski is a Ukrainian writer, director, and producer. He is best known for his award-winning films, such as 'The Land of Oz' and 'The Sky over Us'.

Born in 1986 in Kyiv, Ukraine, Radynski was raised in a family of teachers and engineers. He was exposed to a variety of cultures at an early age, which greatly influenced his creative work.

Radynski graduated from the Kyiv National University of Theatre, Film and Television in 2011, and for the next four years he worked as an assistant director at the National Film Studio. During this time, he wrote and directed several acclaimed short films, including 'Naked Summer' (2012) and 'The Land of Oz' (2014).

In 2016, Radynski made his feature debut with 'The Sky over Us', a critically acclaimed drama about a young Ukrainian soldier's journey home from the war in the Donbass region. The film was awarded the Grand Prix at the 2017 Odessa International Film Festival, and it was selected as Ukraine's official submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2018.

Radynski's second feature, 'The Earth Is Blue as an Orange' (2019), is a powerful coming-of-age story set in the aftermath of the 2014 Ukraine-Russia conflict. The film won numerous awards and accolades, including the Grand Prix at the 2020 Berlinale.

In addition to his film work, Radynski has also written several books, including 'The Winter of the Poet' (2018) and 'The Land of Oz' (2020). He is currently in production on his third feature film, 'The Sun is Also a Star', which is set to be released in 2021.
