Nikola Dragović is an acclaimed Serbian film director, screenwriter, and producer. He is best known for his gripping films that explore the complexities of life in post-communist Serbia. He has received numerous awards and critical acclaim for his films, including two awards at the Cannes Film Festival.

Dragović was born in Belgrade, Serbia in 1966. He studied film directing at the prestigious Belgrade Academy of Arts and Sciences, graduating in 1993. He then went on to direct several short films, including the award-winning 'Memories', which was the first Serbian film to be selected for the Cannes Film Festival.

In 1998, Dragović made his feature film debut with the powerful drama 'The Wounds', which tells the story of a woman struggling to cope with the psychological trauma of living in a post-war society. The film was an immediate success and earned Dragović numerous awards, including a Special Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival.

Since then, Dragović has gone on to direct a number of critically acclaimed films. His most acclaimed film is the 2004 drama 'The Trap', which tells the story of a young woman trapped in a post-communist minefield.
